Motorized Drapery and Shades: Beautiful Control, Without Touching a Cord

Beautiful windows should be effortless to live with. That is the whole idea behind motorized drapery and shades: the fabric you love, moving exactly the way you want it — from a remote in your hand, or from the TaHoma by Somfy app on your phone.

At Boca Raton Draperies, we design custom drapery and shades around your home, and we install them with Somfy motorization. Mariano is Somfy-certified, and we guide you from fabric selection and measuring through fabrication and installation, so the technology fits the window — not the other way around.

Designed to move beautifully

Motorized drapery starts with the track and the motor. The Glydea ULTRA drapery motor moves your drapery smoothly along its track, so heavy or wide drapery glides instead of dragging. The result is the same custom drapery you would choose by hand — it simply moves beautifully, every time.

Behind every effortless moment

Control can be as simple or as complete as you like. A Situo RTS remote gives you open, close, and your favorite position at the touch of a button. Add the TaHoma hub, and you can control your window treatments from the TaHoma by Somfy app — room by room, from anywhere in the house.

App control requires a compatible motor and TaHoma system, and compatible components and setup are required. We will confirm exactly what your windows need before anything is ordered — we never promise compatibility without checking your system first.

Beautiful shades. Effortless control.

Motorization is not only for drapery. Motorized shades give you the same effortless control for roller, solar, zebra, and Roman shades — soft light in the morning, privacy in the evening, all without reaching for a cord. Control options depend on the selected Somfy system, and we help you choose the right one for each room.

Beautiful drapery. Effortless control.

For living rooms, bedrooms, and wide sliding doors, motorized drapery is the quiet luxury: one touch, and the whole wall of fabric moves. It is especially helpful for tall windows, wide openings, and drapery you would otherwise struggle to reach.

Is motorization right for your home?

Ask yourself three questions:

1. Do you have tall, wide, or hard-to-reach windows?

2. Would you like your shades or drapery to open and close at the same time, every day?

3. Do you want control from a remote, an app, or both?

If the answer to any of those is yes, motorization is worth a conversation. Bring us your window photos and measurements, and tell us how you live in the room — we will help you balance style, privacy, and light, and confirm the right Somfy system for your home.
